Captain Hughes – National Youth Worker of the Year

Captain Darren Hughes was crowned the winner of the Youth Worker of the Year for Uniformed Organisations at last night’s YouthLink Scotland awards dinner held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

The evening was a true showcase of the wide range of outstanding youth work going on across the country.

Captain Hughes told Reporting G&L:

It was an honour just to be nominated, but to actually be chosen as the winner of the Award was an extremely proud moment for me.

YouthlinkI would like to sincerely thank Colonel O’Meara for nominating me for the Award and I accept it on behalf of all CFAVs within the Battalion who are equally deserving of recognition for the outstanding work they do for young people in the ACF.
