Cadets back from battlefield tour

On Sunday the 7th of June 2015, 30 cadets and 9 adults from 7 battalions around Scotland gathered at Barry Buddon Camp ready to embark on an adventure of a lifetime to commemorate the Anniversary of the Battle of Loos in 1915 which featured a lot of Scottish Soldiers.

There were 2 Adults (LtCol McNamee and 2Lt Long) and 6 Cadets (CSM Love, CSgt McCluskey, Sgt Ferry, Sgt Johnston, Sgt McKeown and Cpl Wyatt) representing the Glasgow and Lanarkshire Bn.

The tour was a great success and all who attended enjoyed it immensely, were moved by the stories of individual heroism and bravery and came back with many memories and many new friends from all across Scotland.

Our cadets represented the Battalion very well and were a credit to their detachments and all were fully involved with the Parades of Remembrance at various sites culminating with the evening parade at the Menin Gate during which CSgt McCluskey was one of the wreath layers.
