The Battalion Association hopes to welcome new members

As we go into a new year we hope to encourage many more people to get involved with the Association.

As many of you will know the Association is the ideal organisation for those who have served in the cadets and who may not wish at this time to join as a uniformed instructor, or feel that they have already done their time in uniform, but are still able to offer continued support to the Battalion through the Association.

As a prelude to this there is an invitation to all to come to an open event on Sunday 7th February at the Dechmont Cadet Training Centre during a Company Weekend.  Starting at 11am there will be the opportunity to meet the cadets and adult volunteers and see what current ACF training is all about.  Lunch will be at 1 o’clock and then we will all get together to chat about the future of the Association and elect a new committee.

If you know of anyone who might be interested in joining the Association please let them know about the open event.

And, of course, serving adult members of the Battalion are also welcome to join.

Please let us know if you are coming, so that we can make sure that there is enough food at lunchtime.  A brief acceptance e-mail is all that is required.
