Cadets from our Pipes and Drums detachment will be joining around 200 cadets at the Cadet Piping and Drumming Concentration to be held at Cameron Barracks, Inverness, from this Saturday 8th April.

B Company held their first company camp of 2017 at Dechmont CTC on the weekend of 10-12 February.

This week Cadet Sergeant Sophie Graham from 3 Tp Royal Engineers has been on the Salisbury Plain Training Area for a pilot Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) camp run by the Regular Army for members of the Cadet Forces who have an interest in pursuing careers in one of the above areas.

Thirty seven cadets and adult leaders from 25 ACF counties/battalions gathered at Ballykinler Camp in Northern Ireland from 26th March to 1st April for a special Duke of Edinburgh’s Award residential training event organised to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Duke of Edinburgh Award. At the end of the return leg of last year’s exchange visit to Canada our friends from the Seaforth Highlanders of Canada have returned home after a two week visit to Scotland.
A successful C Company weekend held at Dechmont Training Centre – in pictures.
The run of Company Weekends at Dechmont continued last weekend with B Company. It was a weekend of theory and practical Skill at Arms training for cadets at every APC star level to increase their skills in weapon handling drills.
Last weekend saw C Company training at our Dechmont Cadet Training Centre. Lots of happy smiling faces despite the miserable weather as the cadets took part in a wide range of APC subjects including Skill at Arms, First Aid and Small Bore Shooting.

Annual Camp Otterburn 2015 is now finished – 14 days of sunshine and showers in the wilds of Northumberland. A good time was had with lots of good training and sporting events. See some photographs on our Facebook page.

This year the Battalion’s Annual Camp runs from Saturday 27th June until Saturday 11th July.
