The National Cyber Security Centre (part of GCHQ) are offering a four day residential course for young people aged 14-15 who are interested in a career in cyber security. The course is being administered by Glasgow University from 25-28 July and is completely free.

On Thursday 2nd February 2017, 21 members of Glasgow & Lanarkshire Battalion took part in the 4th Poland Project. This educational project involved cadets from 7 detachments undertaking research and completing 3 workbooks on the atrocities of WWII.
10 Bn cadets have gained a Business and Technology Education Council (BTEC) Level 4 Award in Teamwork, Personal Skills and Citizenship with the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF).

This week Cadet Sergeant Sophie Graham from 3 Tp Royal Engineers has been on the Salisbury Plain Training Area for a pilot Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) camp run by the Regular Army for members of the Cadet Forces who have an interest in pursuing careers in one of the above areas.

The Tri-Service cadet forces, under the auspices of Lowland RFCA were invited to play host to a number of guests from Education backgrounds alongside members of the Scottish Government at the recent 21 Gun Salute held at Edinburgh Castle to mark HM The Queen’s 89th Birthday.
This week 26 cadets from across the Battalion successfully gained a BTEC – Level 4 qualification in Teamwork, Personal Skills and Citizenship in Uniformed Youth Organisations.
